Bonjour!
So this week was pretty busy... shocker, right?
Tuesday
we had District Meeting at St Merri and then had to clean up the
ensuing mess haha. For years a bunch of Districts have come to our
chapel for meetings, but they keep trashing it, losing our key, etc. so
we're starting to kick people out and changing the code on the door.
After that I went on exchanges with Elder Martin, the one that
speaks Chinese.
Wednesday
we sent in the Confidentiality Report and had a bunch of appointments
fall through. We went to the bakery that night for a couple hours,
which was pretty fun. Frère Mora is doing really well, he's at church
almost every week now.
Thursday
we worked at the Visitor's Center. We then had to take Elder Smith (Chandler,
Casey's roommate from college) to the Mission Home so he could fly home
for school this week :) The rest of the week was just planning and
having lessons fall through haha. We had 11 lessons planned for this
week before the week even started, but they all fall through. That was a
little rough, but it was still a good week.
Yesterday we did the
baptismal interview for Chelly, the Chinese Elders' ami. She's getting
baptized
next Sunday,
and she's super solid. She's come to church every week since she met
the missionaries and is so enthusiastic about the gospel =) Yesterday
was also the ward meal, so we got fed pretty well after church, which is
always nice :)
Wilson was pretty busy this week, so we
didn't get to see him. But, we're seeing him tonight :) Yesterday we
were at the Ward Lunch and a member of the Bishopric pulled me aside to
introduce me to a guy there. Apparently, he is the husband of a member,
and he wants to meet with us and maybe get baptized! His name in Yohan
Lucas, and his wife is American, she's from LA. So we're gonna set an
appointment tonight, hopefully that goes over well!
